John McCloskey, founding Broker/Principal of Michigan Premier Real Estate, was the Managing Broker for the REO Department of a large local real estate brokerage for over 10 years. As such, he supervised 4 coordinators, 3 salaried agents and various other staff, closing over 350 properties annually.

As a Principal/Broker of Michigan Premier Real Estate, he personally serviced each property assigned to him with the assistance of his experienced REO team.  John knew the importance of meeting timelines and communication with asset managers.  He believed in being pro-active and working diligently to avoid any surprises with the properties in his inventory.  If problems arose, he focused all of his attention on finding the right solution. 

John was a graduate of both the University of Michigan and the University Of Detroit School Of Law, and annually attended several REO related educational conferences to maintain and grow his knowledge of this industry.  John served as a speaker and panel member at numerous REO seminars and conferences at both the local and national level throughout the country.  He had been an REO Broker for over 15 years, and a member of REOBroker.com, REOMAC, NRBA, REO Connection and the National Association of REO Brokers, from which he earned the designation of Certified REO Specialist.  In addition, John was a member of the Professional Standards and Ethics Committee for the Metropolitan Consolidated Association of Realtors (MCAR), now the Greater Detroit Metropolitan Association of Realtors (GMAR).  John built his reputation on integrity, professionalism, hard work, reliability and performance. 

As a life-long resident of the Detroit metropolitan area, John had an extensive knowledge of the diverse real estate market. Over the past 50+ years,  he lived in the City of Detroit and in the suburbs on both the east and west sides of the Metropolitan Area.  Before becoming a licensed Agent/Broker, John bought and sold investment properties throughout Detroit and the suburbs from 1974 until 1990, when he sold his last income property.
